It is our great honor and pleasure to welcome you to the 14th International Congress of the Serbian Society of Toxicology & 2nd ToxSEE Regional Conference, which will be held from 22–24 April 2027 at Hotel Mona Plaza in Belgrade, Serbia.

The theme of this Congress, "Toxicology at the Crossroads: From Exposure to Health Impacts and Policy," reflects both the complexity of contemporary toxicology and its growing importance in addressing global health and environmental challenges. As our understanding of chemical, biological, and physical stressors continues to evolve, toxicology increasingly serves as a bridge between exposure science, mechanistic research, clinical outcomes, risk assessment, and evidence-based policymaking.

We are living in a time when emerging contaminants, environmental change, technological innovation, and shifting regulatory landscapes demand closer collaboration among scientists, healthcare professionals, regulators, industry representatives, and policymakers. The ability to translate scientific knowledge into effective measures that protect human health and the environment has never been more critical.

This Congress will provide a vibrant forum for the exchange of ideas, presentation of new research findings, and discussion of current challenges and future directions in toxicology. Through keynote lectures, scientific sessions, panel discussions, and poster presentations, participants will have the opportunity to explore advances across the broad spectrum of toxicological disciplines—from molecular and experimental toxicology to clinical, occupational, environmental, analytical, regulatory, and forensic toxicology.

Particular emphasis will be placed on understanding the pathways linking exposure to adverse health outcomes and on strengthening the dialogue between science and policy. By fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and international partnerships, we aim to contribute to the development of innovative solutions that support public health, environmental sustainability, and informed decision-making.
